NOCTI Supports ACTE’s Excellence Awards as a 2011 PrizePack Partner!

NOCTI participated in recognizing ACTE’s Excellence Awardees by serving as a 2011 Prize Pack Partner. Prize pack partners contributed products and services to be included in the generous prize pack awarded to the national award winners in the following ACTE categories:

  • Teacher of the Year: Cindy Adams, Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, OK
  • Outstanding Career and Technical Educator: Richard Joerger, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, MN
  • Outstanding New Career Technical Teacher: Mindi Clark, Fairview Public Schools, OK
  • Outstanding Teacher in Community Service: Deb Moore, Peoria Unified School District, AZ

Amie Birdsall, NOCTI’s Customer Care and Outreach Division Manager, commented, “NOCTI appreciated the opportunity to participate in the first ACTE Award Prize Pack campaign. It was a pleasure to assist ACTE in honoring the award winners. Not only did it give our organization an opportunity to provide the winners with some useful NOCTI products and services, it also allowed us to interact with the winners, as many of them stopped by the booth and/or sent a personal note of thanks for donating. We are looking forward to being a long-standing contributor to this annual activity!”

For more information about the award program and the 2011 winners, visit the ACTE website.

Seeking Subject Matter Experts

NOCTI is accepting applications for individuals to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on its assessment teams.

All revisions/developments in the 2012 Series will be conducted in an online web-based format. The team meetings encompass a one-week period and meetings are scheduled in the evening hours (6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. EST) to minimize daytime scheduling conflicts. A professional honorarium is offered.

SMEs must have a minimum of three years of recent experience in the subject area. Secondary and post-secondary educators as well as representatives from business and industry are encouraged to apply.

If you, or someone you know, has experience in any of the areas shown to the right, we hope you'll consider this rewarding professional development opportunity! To submit an application, please click here. Questions? Contact Julie Vanhala! julie.vanhala@nocti.org or 1.800.334.6283 x243
