Testing Reminders
The spring testing season is almost here! Below are some reminders to help you prepare and to ensure a successful testing season.
Testing reminders:
- Check order timelines and submit your order accordingly to ensure it arrives in time for your testing dates.
- Check the contents of your order as soon as it is received to verify the number of user codes, test booklets, study guides, or countdown kits and the test titles match your order. Contact NOCTI immediately if there are any discrepancies.
- Check your Client Services Center frequently to make sure user codes have all been released for scoring and contact NOCTI about any “in process” user codes.
- Download any resource documents you may need from the Client Services Center and share with others as appropriate.
- Share Instructor Prep Packs (downloadable from the Client Services Center) with appropriate instructional staff.
- Remember to use participant IDs that are unique for each test taker; do not re-use participant IDs from previous years.
- The same participant ID must be used for a participant on both the pre- and post-test administrations, if appropriate, to ensure pre/post comparative reporting.
- Consider purchasing the Data Upload Tool to increase efficiency and accuracy of inputting student personal data.
- Allow your test proctors adequate time to review the proctor guide prior to test administration.
- Verify all performance ratings (if appropriate) have been entered into the online system or recorded in the correct section of the answer sheet.
- Verify ALL online tests have been “released” for scoring from the Client Services Center after administration.
2012-13 Pricing Information
To streamline the purchasing process for our customers, we are reconfiguring the pricing structure for NOCTI student testing to include shipping and handling for products that are shipped (i.e., paper/pencil assessments, performance assessment books, study guides, etc.). As a result, the pricing structure will change effective July 1, 2012, to reflect an increase for assessment products and study guides. This change will eliminate the need for estimating shipping and handling charges for every order and improve the ordering process with respect to purchase orders and price quotations.
Based on feedback from our valued customers, we are also adding a combination pricing option for the purchase of pre-tests and post-tests if ordered together for online delivery only. Ordering pre-tests and post-tests as a combination will provide almost a 15% discount compared to the cost of ordering pre-tests and post-tests separately. Watch for more information in the fall.
NOCTI Staff Changes
Over the past few months, several staff changes have occurred at NOCTI and Nocti Business Solutions. We are pleased to announce the following changes:
- Andrea Worth has transitioned to Nocti Business Solutions (formerly The Whitener Group), focused on meeting the assessment needs of our business and industry clients.
- Shannon Owen has been hired as our newest Operations Coordinator and will expediently be processing all of your test orders and providing technical support.
- Laura Worm has transitioned to the role of Customer Care Coordinator and will continue to provide excellent customer service when you call our office. She is also now handling our site coordinator and teacher trainings.
- Lisa Brauher has transitioned into NOCTI’s Outreach Coordinator and is efficiently overseeing and coordinating NOCTI’s attendance at conferences across the nation.
- Ashley Campau serves as our Customer Care Specialist and her friendly voice will likely be the first one you hear when you call our office. She is well versed in our systems and ready to answer your questions!
- Jenny Burson has moved to the Information Technology division from Operations. Jenny continues to provide outstanding scoring services and technical support in addition to her new responsibilities as a Technology Specialist.
Congratulations to our staff on their new positions. As always, increased efficiency and improved customer service is our goal when making staffing changes!
