Teachers’ Corner – new to the NOCTI website

Teachers need tools to help prepare students for NOCTI assessments.  Easy access to these tools and information gives teachers what they need to coach students for success on the NOCTI.

Links to information on the content of NOCTI assessments (blueprints), helpful study materials, the schedule of free web seminars for teachers, and recordings of presentations that can be viewed anytime are featured in the Teachers’ Corner.

Applying A ‘Systems’ Approach To Instructional Design In CTE

Today’s globally competitive companies foster the cross-functional knowledge skills of their employees and identify system-level problems early. The key to the success for these companies is to adopt a systems approach to instruction and training. The systems approach is a design philosophy that requires students to learn the parts of the system through an examination of the big picture. This web seminar will explain the systems approach and provide examples of how to implement it in all areas of CTE.

The National Research Center For CTE … ‘The Use Of Assessment Data’

How CTE educators use technical assessment data to improve program curriculum and identify individual/group instruction needs is of particular interest to the National Research Center for CTE. How specific types of professional development may have been provided, educators’ perception of the effectiveness of this training and finally, what types of professional development they would consider most effective for the future is vital to improving student achievement.  Findings from the research and insights from the literature will be discussed, as well as implications for professional development that will be created will be part of this unique web seminar.
