NOCTI’s Job Ready assessments are designed to measure the skills of students who have completed a program of study within an occupation. The assessments are based on nationally validated workplace-based standards. A primary goal of the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) is to provide high quality occupational competency assessments. Most Job Ready assessments consist of both a written (cognitive) and performance (psychomotor) component. The written component contains multiple-choice items and can be delivered in either a paper/pencil or online format. NOCTI's philosophy is that a complete measure of occupational competency is best achieved through the use of both a written (cognitive) test of technical knowledge/understanding and a hands-on skills demonstration/performance (psychomotor) test of technical / manipulative skills.
