As part of the standard assessment package, NOCTI provides a comprehensive report of participant results. The standard scoring package includes a Site Coordinator report, comparative report, and individual report for both the written (cognitive) and performance (psychomotor) portions of the assessment. Score reports are provided electronically at the online Client Services Center and remain available for one year from the test administration date. Archived reports from prior years are available for an additional charge.
Scoring data is accumulated and maintained for every assessment scored, and cumulative averages are provided for most test administrations. Score reports for pilot tests, pre-tests, and newly released tests do not include cumulative averages or comparative data. Averages are reported at three levels (site, state, and nation) and are computed twice a year in January and July. In addition, a cumulative average is reported at the site level.
Each time the averages are updated (January and July), score reports available in the Client Services Center will reflect the most recent averages. For example, score reports originally generated and viewed in May of the year will reflect computed averages from January and will remain the same until the averages are computed in July. After July computations, the cumulative averages will reflect the additional testing activity from January to July. Therefore, the national average (as well as other reported averages) for a report viewed in July may be different from the report viewed in May.
National averages for Job Ready assessments, both secondary and post-secondary levels, are posted to the NOCTI website each time they are updated (January and July). These documents can be downloaded and saved or printed for future reference. If the national average is used for determining passing scores, Site Coordinators are encouraged to keep copies (electronic or paper) of score reports at the time they are released to ensure participant scores are compared to the appropriate data for that time period.
A score interpretation report is available at the online Client Services Center. This one-page summary is provided to help you interpret the scoring information and is useful for presenting scoring information to others including administrators, teachers, parents and students. A copy may also be accessed on our web site at www.nocti.org.
As always, NOCTI is available to answer any questions you may have regarding your score reports. In addition, we have the capability to customize reports if more detailed information is needed. Customized reports may range from a comprehensive year-end report with graphs and charts to a more detailed score report broken down to the task level data. Please contact NOCTI for a quote if you are interested in customized reporting. Our goal is to provide you with information that is useful.
